My first night. Part II.

There’s a lascivious darkness in the air and I feel it as soon as I walk through the door. The lights are dimly muted while the music is sharply penetrating. There are wolves in expensive suits in every corner and I can feel them sniffing me from a distance. I could run, but the Jessica Rabbit in me likes being delicious prey. There are gorgeous women gliding through each room leaving their scent behind and the alcohol is strong. A tall, attractive gentleman introduces himself and offers me a drink. I smile, order my Scotch at the bar and feel it instantly flow through my body. And for the first time in a while, I’m in a daze and aware that I am exactly where I need to be. I could get lost in this forever.
